We live in a polarized society. You are liberal or conservative, left or right. Those are your only choices and there is a HUGE gap between, a void that cannot be bridged. You must pick one or the other.

These pages are dedicated to those who believe it possible to go in a reasonable third, independent direction. Neither of the extremes have it all right. Judicious and introspective decisions arise from careful thought. Neither hard problems nor their solutions can be summarized in 140 characters. The beginning point of careful thought is MEASUREMENT. If you can measure it you have a chance at managing it. If you can measure it you can make cost-benefit calculations and reach rational conclusions. These pages are about ways to do that. Don’t worry about the word “math” in the newsletter name. This is about how you think about the math in your life whether you invited it in or not.
